Update for U10 and U12:
The gyms are not available for the Saturday Youth Sports Program on September 30 or October 7.
Our new start date for these age groups is OCTOBER 14.
Practices are at the discretion of the coach. If you haven't heard from your coach, assume practice is still being held.
U6 & U8 cancelations are at the discretion of the convenors.
Games will be canceled and rescheduled under the following circumstances:
This decision is made at the league level at 4:00 pm based on Environment Canada's projected humidex for 7:00 pm in Pembroke. Martin Smith and Cheryl Smith will be notified by VUSL
in the case of a high humidex cancellation and the coaches will be contacted who will then contact their teams.
This policy is in accordance with Ontario Soccer's guidance. Players, coaches and parents should educate themselves regarding how to best handle heat and stay hydrated. Parents always have the final say.
If you live outside of the boundaries of Deep River, you will need to get your background/vulnerable sector check done by the OPP.
If you plan on volunteering this year and have not yet had a check done, please email Cheryl for a letter.
